Basically, the semifinals match between YDWT (me) and NBF went something like this.
NBF heroes: Tidehunter, Lich, Rhasta, Shadow Fiend, Earthshaker
YDWT heroes: Bane Elemental, Morphling, Queen of Pain, Tiny, Techies
It was a tight match, with both side trading kills, NBF having some sort of a lead at times. In the first few team clashes, NBF wiped out the entire YDWT team. But the techies of YDWT bought back and defended furiously.
It was very tight, NBF unable to gain a clear advantage while YDWT was defending soundly with techies spamming mines.
Then - the first fatal mistake came. YDWT's Tiny casted Toss on the opponents who were outside their base.. to his horror, he accidentally tossed the TECHIES instead of a creep into the opponents. The opponents gladly accepted the gift with multiple disables, and YDWT went straight in to try to save their Techies, but in the end almost got cleared.
Techies bought back again, and spammed his disables and mines in base. The opponents couldn't do a thing.
NBF kept the pressure on, and YDWT's whole team eventually respawned. Then they went to defend.. and the unthinkable happened - Tiny AGAIN, accidentally tossed Techies into the opponents. The same thing happened, and the opponents almost cleared team again. Techies bought back again, and tried his best to defend. But the opponents got one rax.
Then somehow, YDWT's heroes, all healed up, came back and attacked NBF's heroes who were at half hp or worse. Somehow, YDWT manage to clear the NBF team!
At this point, Techies spotted the bottom lane Sentinel creeps were at the Scourge base- he teleported straight there with his BoT and managed to take down the whole of bottom with spamming mines. An Earthshaker who spawned made futile attempts to stop techies but techies just mined mined mined and actually drove the ES back.
After some continous split lane pushing by YDWT, they actually got the mid rax too!
So now they tried for top.. but they had no way in. NBF had all 5 heroes there to battle any push, and with their strong aoe spells, they somehow managed to hang on to their Frozen Throne and fight off the onslaught of bottom and mid lane creeps, though one throne tower fell.
After about 30 minutes of nonstop pushing and NBF basically killing YDWT again and again, YDWT still could not find a way to touch the top barracks. The rapid disabling of NBF coupled with the high DPS of Shadowfiend was indomitable.
Then disaster struck.
Fatal error. Everyone disconnected.
...
...
Everyone was left in utter disbelief, both teams thought that they had a chance of winning. Judges were put in a tight spot, and they struggled to come up with some sort of decision. After some pathetic discussions, they ruled NBF won.
Why?
They said that Shadow Fiend was getting strong, getting a Rapier, so he could backdoor and take down our mid barracks. And we were pushing for so long and unable to push down the top barracks anyway, and at the point of disconnection, they had amassed more items than us. This was their argument for their ruling.
BULLSHIT!
I'll give much stronger points why my team should have won.
1) Techies had mass remotes at mid barracks, if Shadow Fiend came to backdoor, he would have been blown up in 1 second.
2) Techies had 3 stasis traps lined up leading to mid barracks - Shadowfiend would have been delayed for at least 30 seconds
3) If the Shadow Fiend even tried to backdoor, it would give us the clear advantage in the top lane pushing - we couldn't break in precisely because we were disabled and Shadow Fiend was shooting us. If we were just disabled, and no DPS hero attacking, how will we lose? If ShadowFiend raced us to destroy WorldTree, we would definitely have won - let's say we lost some heroes and we cleared them all - sure 1-3 heroes + techies + mega creeps from top and bottom lane can take down the Frozen Throne faster than a Rapier ShadowFiend take down our World Tree + 2 towers?
4) The opponents maxxed their heroes/items before us. That's why we couldn't push in. If the game dragged, we would have gradually maxxed our items out too, so we definitely have the advantage.
The main argument is number 3), it basically disses the other argument. The judges made a bad decision, boo.
i mean come on, you guys reading who know about dota can vote.
I'm replacing the surveymonkey link with a bravenet one, because the surveymonkey thing allowed multiple votes. Btw, it had 9-1 votes when i took it out, in favour of YDWT.

The poll is on the latest entry, 20th July. Just click Yes or No and click vote. simple. If you did it on the surveymonkey one, please do it again on this, just takes 3 clicks. =)
(I have to put this on my old blog because Blogger doesn't accept Bravenet's scripts -_- )
(Ok for those of you who skipped that or totally didn't understand, let me use a World Cup analogy to help you understand - It's like .. let's say Germany and Japan are playing a match, then Germany employs their all out attack- they make alot of shots and all hit crossbar, etc. Japan are just in a defensive shell trying to stop the German onslaught.
Then suddenly, a thunderstorm came upon the match, causing it to be halted. Then because of time constraint and a replay could not be played, the referee said "ok, i have came to a decision. since germany has been attaacking nonstop, and Japan just defending, germany must be more tired, so japan may possibly just counter-attack and score a goal. Therefore, i'm going to award Japan the win" )
Anyway, the china team were really good, i think we would have lost even if we went to the finals. They massed Mekansms (worked as it was 6.32b, stacking Mekansm still allowed) and had a strong hero combination and good teamwork.
Anyway, i present to you team You Don't Want This, 2nd runner up of SAJC Dota Competition 2006.
(we played a match with the other team that lost in semis and beat them soundly)
